This year’s wine festival kicks off with an atmospheric evening at Manzana. Light and delicious tapas dishes will be served, accompanied by no fewer than 10 carefully selected wines.

We’ll be exploring everything from the traditional to the more unexpected – from crisp sparkling wines to characterful sherry. The wines will be presented throughout the evening, so that both curious beginners and experienced wine lovers can join in.

The price is 750 DKK + booking fee, including tapas and 10 fantastic wines.

Wine Merchants’ Dinner at Brasserie 1864

Friday 6 November, 7.00 pm to approx. 10.00 pm

The Wine Merchants’ Dinner is one of the wine festival’s most special traditions and promises an atmospheric evening where wine, fine dining and good stories come together.

On this evening, the wine merchants are given the opportunity to present five carefully selected wines. Each wine is paired with a dish from Brasserie 1864’s exclusive five-course menu, which has been specially created for the festival.

Menu:

1. Starter: Jerusalem artichoke & mushrooms
Jerusalem artichoke cream on crispy potato, pickled mushrooms, hazelnuts and browned butter.

2. Starter – Scallop
Pan-fried scallop with roasted celeriac, apple, browned butter and toasted hazelnuts.

3. Intermediate course – Catfish cheeks
Pan-fried catfish cheeks with leek, cauliflower purée, pickled onion and a sauce made from white wine, mussel stock and herbs.

4. Main course – Red deer
Medium-rare red deer with celery purée, glazed beetroot, fried mushrooms and a sauce made from game stock and blackcurrants, served with crushed potatoes.

5. Dessert – Apple, pear & caramel
Baked Danish apples and pears, salted caramel, vanilla cream, crispy oats and browned butter ice cream.

The price is 995 + booking fee, including food and wine.

The Grand Wine Tasting at Nøset

On Saturday, the wine festival continues with The Grand Wine Tasting at Nøset. The yellow beach house will once again provide the setting for a lovely afternoon, but this time it will ensure there’s warmth in the halls.

At the Grand Wine Tasting, you’ll have the chance to explore more than 100 different wines, meet the wine merchants and sample everything from classic favourites to new and exciting discoveries. It’s three hours of exceptional wine experiences, all in one place.

New this year, Tage from Den stolte Slagter will be selling tender, braised pork cheeks with mashed potato. You can also buy a delicious platter of selected cheeses and ham.
